MUNISTRA: A SANS SERIF TYPEFACE

Overview

Munistra is a four weight, two style sans serif neo-grotesque style typeface family based on early 20th century grotesque typeface designs. The inspiration specifically comes from German and English municipal type at the time, as well as wayfinding typography found in airports and other transit hubs. This is a personal passion project, and the final typable .otf files will be ready for sale later this year along with a few weights available for free. The name "Munistra" comes from a combination of the words "Municipal" and "Travel", a reference to its influences.
